REVIEW: Avalon Organics Lavender Nourishing Conditioner

Product Details:

Enriched with Beta Glucan & Babassu Oil plus Vitamin E, Panthenol & Arginine
Since a conditioner is left on longer, providing more time for the absorption of its benefits, we enriched this conditioner with moisturizing Babassu Oil to restore hair strength plus extra Beta Glucan and vitamin fortification to nourish.
No Parabens, Harsh Preservatives or Grapefruit Seed Extract. 100% Vegetarian Ingredients. No Animal Testing.

                                    Ingredients:

Water (Purified), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Stearic Acid, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Polysorbate 60, Soyamidopropalkonium Chloride (Soybean Oil), Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower, Chamomilla Recutita (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Beta Glucan (Oat Flour) (Oat), Babassuamidopropalkonium Chloride, Bisabolol (L-Alpha) (chamomile), Sodium Chloride, Arginine HCl (amino acid), Orbigyna Oleifera Seed Oil (Organic) (Babassu), Ethylhexl Glycerin, Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E) (vitamin E), Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5), Organic Lavandula Angustifolia Oil, Other Essential Oils

  Directions:

Massage into clean hair from the roots up. Leave on as long as desired to absorb the enriching benefits of Bet Glucan and Babassu Oil. Rinse.

Pros:
  • Good Price ( $9.95)
  • Natural ingredients
  • Very Thick
Cons:
  • The smell is very strong
  • It is too greasy
Bottom Line:
Just another conditioner, nothing impressive. It is more like a leave-in conditioner. I compare it to Giovanni Direct Leave-In conditioner minus the strong smell and all the oils. Like Giovanni, it is great for braid/twist outs. As a matter of fact, I used it two times as a leave-in conditioner. I used it once straight from the bottle. And the second time I mixed it with equal amount of water. So far I did not experience any breakage, and my braid out lasted a few days with no other products added.
