4 Accessories That Will Help You Beat The Heat This Summer

Okay, You’ve been waiting for what seemed like forever for summer to get here. But now that it’s here, you cannot even enjoy it! There was a heat advisory a few days ago in New York. People were advised to stay home and drink plenty of liquids to stay hydrated. Telling people to stay inside in New York is like telling the Brazilian soccer team that they won’t be playing at the world cup 2014. If you have been feeling hotter than usual this summer, keep reading, I have a few tips for you.

  1. Open-toed shoes: Can you believe I saw a lady in some knee-high boots yesterday? Not only that, she was also wearing leggings. I am not judging. She probably works at a place where they have to keep the AC at lower than 40 all the time. Let it all air out, ladies. Wear cute little sandals made with great materials that will not help the sun burn your skin.
  2. Goody Ouchless elastics: Great to keep your hair up. They also help stop your hair from swimming in sweats.
  3. Hat: Choose a hat that will shield your face from the sun. It will also make your SPF last longer, allowing you to use less.
  4. Sunglasses: Invest in quality sunglasses that will protect your eyes against the harsh sun rays. The important thing here is to remember to wear your sunglasses. What’s the point of having expensive sunglasses if you forget to wear them.

How are you staying cool this summer?
