I am happy to report that I have lost 5 pounds so far. I have 30 more to go. I still have a few things that I want to eliminate from my diet, like sugar, salad dressings, butter, and mayo. I am thinking about replacing mayo with avocado, and eliminate the others. My body also crashed from exhaustion on Friday. I slept from 12:00 P.M until 2:30 P.M after our walk (hubby and I). I went back to bed at 4:00 P.M and woke up at 10:00 PM. I felt so tired I could barely work that night. I took a 30 - minute break, and I was still breaking after my break was over. I felt miserable.
There is one more thing that I have been doing: Drinking water. We don't keep carbonated drinks like Coke or Ginger Ale in the house, but we all love Lipton iced tea. Replacing my sweet tea with water is a big plus because water has zero calorie.
Drinking water before each meal prevents me from overeating, which cuts my calorie intake. Dringking a lot of water also stops my body from retaining water, which may help in getting a more accurate number on the scale.
How I drink my water
- I drink two glasses of water with lemon in the morning.
- I add some cayenne pepper to my water before I eat lunch.
- I squeeze some lime juice and add a little bit of brown sugar in my water instead of drinking juice or iced tea during dinner.
- I try to drink iced water when I can to help me burn calories.
