My Weight Loss Journey: Drinking Water To Lose Weight

Hi guys,
I am happy to report that I have lost 5 pounds so far. I have 30 more to go. I still have a few things that I want to eliminate from my diet, like sugar, salad dressings, butter, and mayo. I am thinking about replacing mayo with avocado, and eliminate the others. My body also crashed from exhaustion on Friday. I slept from 12:00 P.M until 2:30 P.M after our walk (hubby and I). I went back to bed at 4:00 P.M and woke up at 10:00 PM. I felt so tired I could barely work that night. I took a 30 – minute break, and I was still breaking after my break was over. I felt miserable.

There is one more thing that I have been doing: Drinking water. We don’t keep carbonated drinks like Coke or Ginger Ale in the house, but we all love Lipton iced tea. Replacing my sweet tea with water is a big plus because water has zero calorie.

Drinking water before each meal prevents me from overeating, which cuts my calorie intake. Dringking a lot of water also stops my body from retaining water, which may help in getting a more accurate number on the scale.

How I drink my water

  1. I drink two glasses of water with lemon in the morning.
  2. I add some cayenne pepper to my water before I eat lunch.
  3. I squeeze some lime juice and add a little bit of brown sugar in my water instead of drinking juice or iced tea during dinner.
  4. I try to drink iced water when I can to help me burn calories.

I am still going strong on my journey. I actually enjoy drinking water now because it’s helping me lose weight.  Somebody had to remind me to drink water before, like watching a Dr. Oz show, but now I make it one of my priorities.

Drinking water keeps you hydrated especially during a workout since you lose a lot of water through sweat. Good job on your loss so far. I'm cheering you on. http://www.myrebornhair.blogspot.com

Not sure if that alone helps with loosing weight but it sure is healthy!! I drink mostly only water..no sodas or any of that..I know it makes me feel a lot better!

When we sweat, toxins are released which could result in increased acne. Drinking more water can help curb that. Good luck on your journey!

Drinking water is still a thing I need to do more…I'm lazy when it comes to that! I used to drink 'lemon hot water' every morning, but quit doing that for some reason. Thanks for reminding me how important it is. 🙂

Water is almost the only thing I drink…when I have a craving for something else, I have it but overall I've made drastic improvements with the amount of water I consume. The biggest difference I see is in my skin.
