Fitness Friday: Nine Months Weight Loss Update

I am very happy to be part of this link-up, #FitnessFriday.  Thanks to all of you who commented on my OOTD post. You guys are so good at encouraging me. I think all of you told me to keep the shirt. So, I am keeping it. The shirt is a size XL, and now I am wearing Medium sizes with no problems. I am still working on losing the last 5-10 pounds. I say 5-10 because it keeps going up and down. I feel like one week I am 140 pounds, and somehow, depending on what’s going on during that month,  the next week I am 145 pounds. When I started this journey, my goal was to lose 35 pounds by June 25th, my birthday. June 25th is a few weeks away, and now I am having doubts about how I am going to finish this race.

It’s Fitness Friday, guys! Another reason for you to love Fridays. This is a great way for you to stay motivated on your weight loss journey.
Fitness Friday

It’s been 9 months already.

The picture on the left is a screenshot from Instagram. I lost the original picture when my computer got attacked by a virus. I weighed 178 pounds when that picture was taken. Now I am 145 pounds. I still have 10 more pounds to go. And unless I go into starvation mode, I don’t know how I am going to make that happen. I already eliminated wine. I don’t eat pasta. I exercise 4-5 times a week. I drink more water than the legal limit. I think the legal limit is one gallon. I am just kidding. I don’t drink that much water. As a matter of fact, I hate drinking water. But I do drink water when I feel hungry, just to make sure that my mind is not playing tricks on me. My body is probably retaining the water, since I don’t drink enough; maybe that’s why I see 145 pounds when I get on the scale. So anyway, that’s where I am at right now. Tania told me to try to tone up on my last fitness post. I am trying, Tania! I am really trying.

Honey don't stress yourself! You'll get there in the end. I know I am not much help but for all I know I heard many people telling the same, that there is always a time when you are not loosing a pound no matter what you do, it's just the way it is. So be patient, don't focus on the last ten pounds but keep focusing on how far you have come, how good you did. And you did great honey! You lost more than 30 pounds in 9 month that's terrific!! Look at you, you are a beautiful woman.
    Happy Friday my friend
    kisses

Congrats Nerline!! You should be SO proud of yourself!! I'm happy for you. Don't beat yourself up about whether the last 5-10lbs comes off by your birthday or not. You've created a healthy lifestyle for yourself and that's usually the hardest part. You're bound to get to your goal soon!

Great job!! The last 10 are always the toughest but you should be proud of how much you already did lose. Also make sure you weigh yourself after you wake up (these numbers are more accurate) as oppose to before you go to bed. Either way you are looking great 🙂

A big weldone on your weightloss that is fantastic news. Keep going and those last few pounds, normally the hardest but they will come off.

You should be very proud of the progress you've made. Don't obsess over the numbers. You've made a lifestyle change so just keep taking it one day at a time 🙂

    You look tots amazing!!

Seeing your pictures side by side shows how far you have come. You look like a different person entirely. You should be proud of yourself. Comparison pictures and shopping for smaller and prettier clothes were a motivating factor for me when I had a lot of pounds to lose. They still keep me from tipping to the other side.

Thanks for your comment. Yes I was on a little 'holiday'. The rest of the family was anyways, but I was still doing my motherly duties and some more, so it wasn't a holiday for me. Plus I have one very silly test I have to study for. Cannot wait to get it out of the way.

I really miss reading your posts….hugs!
