Whether we want to admit it or not, we cannot ignore the fact that what's happening on TV shapes the way we speak, think, and even dress ourselves. As the fall season approaches, we, as women, will have more than one gladiator to look up to for fashion inspirations. You are in luck if you work in an environment where you have to dress up Monday to Friday. With shows like The Good Wife, Scandal, and House Of Cards coming this Fall, your fashion inspirations will be just one flip away.
I for one, am obsessed with Olivia Pope's wardrobe. It's one thing that she can make president Fitz turn the Oval Office into a bedroom, convince politicians to come clean, or just come out of the closet, but doing it while wearing Giorgio Armani (my favorite designer of all time) makes her my favorite female character on television. Olivia's outfits make her stand out. She shines when she walks into a room. She does it effortlessly because she wears heels that keep her grounded and suits that make you believe that her shoulders are strong enough to lean on. I cannot wait to see how Lyn Paolo, Scandal's costume designer, will change her wardrobe this Fall season.
