Wash Day: Dealing With Shedding And Breakage

wash day

Hello Hair lovers!  My hair is shedding again, y'all.  I think it's normal considering the rate it's going. The only problem is that I am experiencing some breakage, which is probably due to the change in the temperature. It feels more like Winter than Fall these days. Extra Virgin Olive Oil works for me when my hair feels dry and crunchy. I have been using it to seal my ends to see if that will stop the problem.

{1} I used Pure Avocado oil to prep my hair overnight. I shampooed with Matrix Biolage Hydratherapie Shampoo.

{2} I went straight to my black tea rinse because of the shedding. I did not rinse it out.

The Wash Day Experience{3} I added Africa's best Hair Mayonnaise to my ends, followed by some Hellmann's Real Mayonnaise to my hair as a deep conditioning treatment. I left it on for exactly an hour.

{4} I rinsed out the deep conditioner and made sure that my hair needed extra moisture before proceeding to the next step.

{5} I did my little oil rinse using Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

{6} I used my V05 Moisture Milks as my conditioner, mixed with some Tea Tree Oil.

{7} T-shirt dried my hair for about 15 minutes.

{8} I added a little bit of Giovanni Direct Leave-in conditioner to my hair and sealed with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. I let my hair air dry before styling it.

The breakage was so bad that I had to trim my ends. I also had split ends, too. So, the trim was a much needed one. I hope the breakage stop soon because I am tired of moisturizing my hair. It feels so dry that I have to moisturize it twice a day. My wash day went well, guys. Now tell me about yours!
