Mastering Washing My Hair In Sections

After trying GeeniePro Hair products last week, I made the decision to go back to my regular hair products, giving my hair enough time to tell me if the products cause breakage or not. I washed my hair in sections from beginning to end this week. I have heard that you get less tangles when you wash it that way. I have to admit, it is so true. I don't like doing it because I have to braid each section again after rinsing out the shampoo. But it worked for me, and I want to keep doing it.  I cut my damaged ends again; a little bit more than I should this time. I had lots of thin ends, and I wanted to get rid of them.

The Wash Day Experience

Pre-Poo with TREsemme Moisture rich conditioner. I added the conditioner to my head. Sectioned my hair in 8. Detangled and braided each section.

Shampoo with Matrix Biolage Hydratherapie.  I diluted my shampoo with warm water, added both argan and tea tree oil. I applied the mix to my scalp only. I massaged my scalp really good before rinsing the shampoo out.

I deep conditioned for 30 minutes, then rinsed my hair with cool water. I  used both Jamaican Black Castor oil and  and Extra Virgin Olive Oil to seal the moisture in.

Hair of the week

How do you like this failed braid-out? The outfit post is here, if you did not see it yet.  I feel happy after cutting off my thin ends. My hair looked full down the roots, but the ends were so thin. I could stretch my hair and look at the split ends. I finally got the courage to do it. I also noticed less shedding after washing my hair. So little that I did not even proceed with my coffee rinse. But don't do what I do. You should do your coffee rinse as often as you can. Speaking of which, how was your wash day?
