Hello Darling! Any bad hair days lately? Mine felt dry, sticky, and desperate for a good wash. If only my hair could talk. It would tell you what it went through during the last wash day. I did a hot oil treatment, a mask treatment, and a deep conditioning treatment. Can you believe it? Miss Dee Black from GeeniePro sent me a few samples from her sulfate free hair product line to try. She contacted me before sending the products, and of course I said yes! She had me at sulfate free. This is my first impression review, but I will be reviewing each product separately next month. Oh, no crochet braids this week!
GeeniePro Sulfate Free shampoo, Hair masque, and Intensive Conditioner
Shampoo: I rinsed my hair with warm water to remove some of the oil, then washed my hair with GeeniePro sulfate free shampoo.
Hair Mask: GeeniePro hair masque for about 20 minutes. It was supposed to be 5-10 minutes, but I left it long enough for my low porosity hair to absorb the ingredients.
Deep Conditioning: I applied my Pantene Truly Natural Deep Conditioner and left it on for 30 minutes.
Leave-ins: Extra Virgin Olive oil + Giovanni Direct Leave-in Conditioner.
If sulfate free means that you have to use a lot of the product to get a good lather, not with this shampoo! I used less than a quarter of the bottle (trial size) to wash my hair. I don't want to compare this shampoo with any other products, but let me just say that my hair loved it. And I rarely find a shampoos that my hair likes. The hair mask contains lavender. And lavender thickens my hair, making it feel like I just had a protein treatment. That's why I had to deep condition my hair with a moisturizing deep conditioner after using the mask. My hair felt alive after using the hair mask. I love the fresh scent and the cooling effect on my scalp. I cannot wait to try the Intensive Conditioner. I am sure my hair will love it, too. I had a wonderful wash day. Did yours go smoothly?
