About Nature’s Path Organic Flax Seeds Granola Cereal

Nature’s Path is a family of organic farmers and their ilk, descended from more farmers and more ilk. The seed of the company was planted back in the ‘30s, when Rupert Stephens inherited the family farm–Mountain Valley farm, a place to grow
field berries and a family. Since then Nature’s Path has continued to grow and develop as a company that is committed to providing its customers with the highest quality organic food.

The people of Nature’s Path live for healthy, great-tasting organic foods. They believe that healthy foods need not be boring and tasteless. You will be impressed when you take a bite of Nature’s Path products.

My Experience

Organic Flax Plus Pumpkin Flax Seeds Granola
I received this Flax Seeds Granola from my sample source box about two months ago. I wanted to try it because I love  adding granola to my yogurt. It is a good way for me to have my daily fiber intake and add a little taste to my yogurt. The first thing that I noticed when I opened the bag was these little puffs flying everywhere. They are so light. They look like rice crispy cereals. I wonder if that’s what they mean by brown rice flour on the ingredient list.  Anyway, I think the Nature’s Path Organic Flax Plus Pumpkin Flax seeds Cereal did have that organic taste. It contains just the right amount of oats, flax seeds, and pumpkin seeds. I love the texture and the oats are not too chewy. I could feel the little crunch, even when I mixed it with the yogurt. The only after taste in my mouth was the sugar, which I did not mind because I ate it with my yogurt. If you are following a dairy-free diet, this granola can be eaten as a snack. It tastes so good that even my son loves it. But you know children love everything that is high in sugar.
This is my second time trying a product from this brand. I reviewed their Organic Sunrise Crunchy Vanilla cereal here last year. I can honestly say that I could not find anything bad to say about this granola cereal. It tasted fresh and it kept me full for longer than I expected. The packaging is good. The product comes in a box, but you can just grab one bag and go. They make it easy for you pack it with your lunch. No matter how good this granola is, I still think that $17.00 is too much to spend on an 11.5-ounce box of cereal. I guess we have to look on the healthy side too. It is expensive for a good reason.

Of course, not all flax seed available to the consumer is created equal. Organic products are quite popular, and it does make sense to buy organic flax. If the seed is overly processed, than many of the desired benefits will be lost.
