Why You Need A Blood Pressure Monitor In Your Home

Having a blood pressure monitor in your home can save both you and the ones you love. I didn’t know how important having one was until my husband started having high blood pressure issues. The MeasuPro Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor allows you to monitor your vital blood pressure and pulse rate readings while providing you with the knowledge you need to maintain and improve your health. This automated blood pressure monitor is equipped
with 2 user storage profiles, which makes it easy to store and organize readings.

Why You Need A Blood Pressure Monitor In Your Home

Measurements taken are stored in the correct user’s profile by
simply pressing the user’s number icon. Results of the measurements
will be displayed and classified in accordance with the classification
of the blood pressure by the American Heart Association. Measurements
are taken through a fast and easy process using Measure and Inflate
technology.

The MeasuPro Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor records up to 120
blood pressure readings, 60 readings per user, with date and time memory
recall. It also calculates and averages your blood pressure based on
the last 3 readings and detects irregular heartbeats and any
arrhythmia’s.

Unboxing the Measupro Blood Pressure Monitor

The MeasuPro blood pressure monitor. It ships with 2 AAA batteries (included), cuff fits wrist circumference of 13.5 cm – 21.5 cm, user manual, lightweight case. 2 year manufacturer’s warranty included.

First impression and details

My first impression of this blood pressure monitor is that it is well-built. It looks and feel durable. Its lightweight design makes it travel-friendly. It can be used on both adults and children because of the size of the cuff. I find the LCD display to be normal, not too dark nor too bright. The numbers are big enough for anyone to read. I am not sure if all boxes include a little bag/pouch that can be used to carry the monitor, but I received one. The user’s manual include valuable information about standard blood pressure classifications. It also contains instructions on how to troubleshoot the device, settings, and specifications about storage.

Taking your blood pressure regularly

After washing my hands, I installed the batteries and set up the date and time.  Then I wrapped the cuffs around my left wrist. After making sure that my arm was positioned at chest level, I gently pushed on the top right button ( user 1 set). These are the results that I got after using the monitor three times, with about 5 minutes interval,  sitting and having my arm in the same position:  133/89, 130/89,  and 134/86. That was around the time the kids came back from school. And you know how they can affect your blood pressure!

Keeping your blood pressure at a normal range

But the normal range for my blood pressure in the morning was 118/82, 119/82, and 118/83. When my blood pressure was 133/89 my BPMs (beats per minute) was 75. Both my Systolic and Diastolic  numbers slightly changed after using this monitor. The important thing is that  when I took my pulse myself using a timer, my result was off by only 1 point. Once upon a time I was a CNA student, and I was told that arm blood
pressure is more accurate than wrist blood pressure. Maybe that’s why those numbers are off by a few points

Pros

  • Nicely packaged
  • Durable
  • Comfortable
  • Easy to use
  • Lovely design
  • Easy to carry

Cons

  • Numbers are slightly off

The bottom line

Knowing your regular blood pressure is important.  Just because what’s considered normal by the American Heart Association  is 120/80, that doesn’t mean that yours should stay at this exact level. The only way to find out if your blood pressure is too high is to compare it to what’s normal for you on a regular basis. And only your doctor can tell  you what’s normal for you.

This blood pressure monitor is a useful tool to have in your home. It is easy to use and you can take it with you wherever you go. I think this blood pressure monitor should be used for comparison purposes only, to give you an idea if your blood pressure is too high or too low. As long I don’t get some random numbers that shows me that my blood pressure is over the top high when I feel fine, I will keep using Measupro Digital Wrist Blood Pressure monitor.
