CANTU Argan Oil Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream REVIEW

CANTU Argan Oil Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream is formulated for dry or coarse hair, it is infused with 100 percent pure Argan Oil. Cantu Leave In Conditioning Repair Cream stops and mends hair breakage while leaving hair soft, shiny, and manageable. This product also protects hair from styling damage, promotes strong, long, healthy hair, and deeply moisturizes the hair.

CANTU Argan Oil Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream REVIEW

My opinion

To me,  Cantu Argan Oil Leave-in Conditioning Repair Cream is heavily scented. I actually love the smell. If you were to rub it lightly on your skin, it would probably take a while for your skin to absorb it. But,  if you  apply it to your skin and rub it with a little pressure, your body heat would help the skin absorb the cream faster, just like you do with your concealer under your eyes (if you use your finger). Are we still talking about a hair product here? Yes, we are.

I try to explain it to you this way because my hair reacted the same way my skin reacted to the product. When I  apply the product to my hair after washing it, it sits on top of my strands. But when I use a steamer,  or a plastic cap and a warm towel after applying the product, it melts into each hair strand faster. At first I was a little upset because I thought it was another Cantu product that takes forever to start working. Then I really took my time and read the directions. The product works better when the hair is still wet and when you leave it on the hair overnight.

How I use it:

I do not towel dry my hair when I use this product. After I wash my hair,  I get rid of the excess water by shaking my head. Then I apply the Cantu Argan Oil Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream  to my hair, put a plastic cap on, and go back to finish my shower. The heat in the bathroom makes if possible for the product to get under the cuticle layers of the hair. After I am done with my shower, I either wrap my hair with a warm towel from the dryer for about 15 minutes, or use a different steaming method until the product melts completely. It may sound like a long process, but the result is WONDERFUL!

Pros

  • Moisturizing
  • Affordable  ( Paid $7.99 for a 16 oz. tub )
  • Strengthens the hair
  • Tames frizz
  • Adds shine
  • Helps with detangling

Cons

  • Leaves the hair feeling heavy ( when too much is used )

The bottom line:

If you use this product as directed, you shouldn’t have any problem with it.
When used as a leave-in conditioner, the product should be left on the
hair overnight for maximum absorption. I use heat because I have a
problem with leaving products on my hair overnight. The product does a
great job when it comes to moisturizing the hair, adding shine, taming
frizz, and providing elasticity. Because of my protein damage, my hair
lost most of its elasticity for a while. Now thanks to this product, my
hair is bouncing back! You can feel my excitement, right?  This product
was formulated to work for coarse or dry hair. So, if you suffer from any
kind of hair damage, either heat, hair color, or other issues,  give this product a try. You will thank me later.
Or you can just go ahead and thank me now!

This was my first leave in when i first started my hhj, but the smell was too over powering for me after a while. I don't do wel with scented products. It felt great but some times my hair felt dry days afterwards. Great review!

Great review, Nerline. I don't like it when the hair feels heavy after hair mask or conditioner, tho.

This sounds great, I could do with a leave in conditioner just now as the rain and cold is drying my hair out. Super review doll x

Great review Nerline, I must agree the smell of Cantu products is heavy and nice for me, I really don't mind that I smell like sweets.

Nice review Nerline. I like using oils in my hair especially Jojoba oil since it's a dry oil. I actually am not a huge fan of Argan oils. Argan oil seems to leave my hair a tad bit oily even when I use little bit.

I've used this product before with success. My hair soaked it right on up really well and it was very hydrating. I like to use it on damp hair. I also like their Creamy Hair Lotion.

Hey Nerline. Interesting review. I have the original leave-in, without the argan oil. How different are they from eachother? Do you notice a difference?
