Hair Style: Crochet Senegalese Twists

I decided to get Crochet Senegalese Twists this week!  The temperature has been up and down around here. I was supposed to post this wash day last week, but I have been so busy lately. I am trying to get everything in order before our family vacation to South Carolina. It will be my second trip to Myrtle Beach, but a first for our children. Are  you going away this summer?

Hair Style: Crochet Senegalese Twists

The Wash Day Experience            If you have extremely dry hair, deep conditioning your hair with heat is the best thing you can do for your hair. It doesn’t matter if your hair is color treated, naturally curly, or relaxed. Dry hair happens to all of us. I did not use much heat when I deep conditioned my hair last year; and the result was dry, thirsty hair that resulted in breakage. Now that I use heat every time I deep condition my hair, I don’t feel the need to moisturize my hair as often as I did last year.

Needless to say that my focus was on deep conditioning the last time I washed my hair. My hair is more dense now and requires more conditioner. It also takes longer for the deep conditioner to melt when I use a steaming method, because I use so much. But the result is always AMAZING! Aussie 3-Minute Miracle + Extra Virgin Olive Oil + Extra Virgin Coconut Oil = soft, nourished hair.

Hair of the week: Crochet Senegalese Twists

I received a lot of compliments from my co-workers when they saw my hair, but the length was more than I could handle. The twists were in a low bun most of the time. I am not used to wearing such long twists. Senegalese twists are so popular that they even sell them already twisted in the stores. All you have to do is braid your pattern and install them. But, I twisted these myself. It took me about 8 hours.  What do you think?

Two weeks is long enough for me because I don't like to wash my hair when they are in twists. I have to undo them. Thanks for asking!
