How To Get Ghana Cornrow Braids with Kanekalon Hair

I finally decided to have some Ghana cornrow braids. These cornrows are like regular cornrows. The only difference is that you add the extra hair little by little instead of  starting out with a big chunk of hair.  I found this video on YouTube that shows you exactly how to do it. It is a chic  and easy protective style for the summer. These cornrows are easy to remove. If you are looking for a quick hairstyle, I definitely recommend them.

The Wash Day Experience

#WashDayExperience

Co-wash: I decided to skip the shampoo and go straight to my TRESemme Purify and Replenish conditioner that I reviewed here.
Deep condition: My deep conditioning routine has not changed. I still use Aussie 3-minute miracle + Extra Virgin Coconut Oil to deep condition my hair.
Moisture:  I used Jamaican Black Castor Oil to seal the moisture after rinsing out the deep conditioner. I also added some Glycerin oil, Vitamin E oil, and my Cantu  Argan Oil cream for extra moisture.
Styling: 100% Kanekalon hair, Eco Styler Gel, ORS Olive Oil Smooth & Easy Edges.

Hair of the week

The fun thing about Ghana cornrow braids is that you can make them as big or as small as you want. The way you part the hair is up to you. This is my first time. And as you know, practice makes perfect. So, I will keep practicing. What about you? How was your wash day?

You know how to style hair and to think that you do this all by yourself and not a highly paid sylist is awesome. Kudos Sis!
