Hello Everyone! Are you tired of the heat yet? Be patient. Fall is only a few months away! Teyonah Parris is definitely my celebrity hair crush. She is not only blessed with very long tresses. She is also very talented and beautiful. This week's hair was inspired by one of her popular hairstyles. It took me a minute to get my edges to lay flat, but the hairstyle itself was very easy to create. Oh, if you don't see the necklace around my neck, it's because I am wearing it as a hair accessory.
After removing the crochet twists on Monday, I was surprised that my ends were not extremely dry. But, the shedding was worse than I expected. I am not sure what caused it, but I am ready to give my hair a break from long term protective styles for now. After detangling my hair using warm water from a spray bottle, I used Pantene Pro-V Expert Intense Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner to wash and deep condition my hair. My first impression review of these two products is coming soon. I added some glycerin oil to may hair after it was about 80% dry, followed by my beloved Cantu Argan Oil leave-in conditioner, plus my Shea Butter mix. My hair did not feel moisturized enough the next day. I missed my little Aussie 3-Minute Miracle. Whatever the conditioner deposited on my hair left if feeling heavy. I did not like that feeling.
This Pequi Oil from ORS is the business! It kept my hair in place through the heat. My wash day was not what I expected, but I can't complain. what about you? How was your wash day?
